Netflix Picks: Being Human – UK

Being Human UKWe started watching the TV show Being Human on Netflix a few months ago, starting with the U.S. version. Only one season of the U.S. show is on Netflix right now, but there are several seasons of the U.K. version so we started watching that, too.

I’d heard from some friends that it’s a great show, but I think we were surprised that we got so caught up in it. I mean, when was the last time you watched a show with a vampire, a werewolf and a ghost as roommates? Watching them try to hang onto their humanity, with all the successes and failures inherent in human choices, is interesting and sometimes thought-provoking.

If you like shows with paranormal and supernatural elements, give Being Human a try. Both the U.S. and the U.K. versions are pretty good from what we’ve seen so far.

4 stars, Really Liked It (per the Netflix ratings system)

  1. Hey Kitty, it’s a good series isn’t it. Love the UK sense of humour as well as the series poignancy. I’ve just finished seeing season 3, so not yet onto the latest season yet.

Yes, that’s one of the things I love about it! You laugh, you cry, you think, you get grossed out – all in one show. LOL!
