Superhero in Disguise by Kitty Bucholtz, in the Adventures of Lewis and Clarke seriesI’ll send you a quick email on Saturday and next Wednesday reminding you that it’s the last day to get one book and the first day to get another.

Plus, I’ll send you one more quick email when “Welcome to Loon Lake” is published. I’ve had a couple little problems, but I expect it will still come out this week. I’m so excited!

Romance and Superheroes – Free or 99c Today

I’m doing a big promotion for all of my books right now. You may have seen my blog post a couple days ago where I mentioned it. I just wanted to remind you because Tuesday is the last day for one of the books. Here’s the breakdown.

Little Miss Lovesick by Kitty BucholtzLittle Miss Lovesick – FREE on Amazon Kindle April 18-19, 2016
Sydney Riley hears voices in her head…

Voices that keep her sane and voices that drive her crazy. The one thing they all agree on – forget Dirk the Jerk and move on.

So Sydney lets her friends drag her into the wilds of Northern Michigan where Little Miss Lovesick, the loudest voice in Sydney’s head, runs into – literally – the perfect man. Is hot fishing guide Matt Engel the man to vanquish heartbreak?

With the vacation flirtation behind her, Sydney is ready to start again. Soon after, however, a difficult – and must keep – client demands Sydney work with his new contractor. Yes, one and the same Matt Engel, hotter than ever and right here in town.

But when Matt’s past comes between them, Sydney wonders how to prevent another broken heart. As the rest of her life spirals out of control, she learns that sometimes a plan isn’t enough without friends to share the load.

Maybe together they can even help Little Miss Lovesick find what she’s been fishing for.

Adventures of Lewis and Clarke superhero urban fantasy series (in order)

Superhero in Disguise by Kitty Bucholtz, in the Adventures of Lewis and Clarke series“Superhero in Disguise” – FREE short story on Amazon and all other outlets permanently
The romantic prologue to A Very Merry Superhero Wedding and Unexpected Superhero in the Adventures of Lewis and Clarke series.

Something was not quite right about Tori Lewis. She knew it, and did her best to hide quietly, not letting anyone too close. But she was getting tired of hiding. That’s what Operation Freedom was all about — discovering her true self. Tonight, Halloween night, she could pretend to be anyone she wanted.

Joe Clarke descended from a long line of superheroes. He knew exactly who he was and what part he played in the world — defending the citizens of Double Bay, Michigan. He loved his job, especially when he found himself rescuing damsels in distress.

But on Halloween, no one is who they seem. Quiet girls can pretend to be bold, confident, adventurous. And even a superhero can pretend to be just a man.

A novella in the Adventures of Lewis and Clarke superhero series

WEDDING DREAMS…

Tori Lewis can hardly wait for her Christmas Eve wedding to handsome Joe Clarke. But her friends and family don’t think it’s prudent to marry someone you just met. There’s something about him, though. She’s never felt safer in her life. The only question is — does she have to tell him all her secrets before the wedding?

Joe Clarke expected to be a happy superhero bachelor for years to come. But after meeting Tori Lewis on Halloween, he can’t get her out of his head. Marrying a woman he barely knows is hands-down the craziest thing he’s ever done. So how does he explain himself to a woman who doesn’t believe in superheroes?

…AND CHRISTMAS FIENDS

Meanwhile, the city is going through a Christmastime crime spree. In addition to the usual madness and thievery, a gang of robbers is targeting mall shoppers. Joe must juggle his wedding duties with his alter ego Superhero X’s commitment to protect the citizens of Double Bay.

Will it all come together without ruining the perfect Christmas wedding?

Unexpected Superhero cover by Kitty BucholtzUnexpected Superhero – 99c on Amazon Kindle April 18-19; $1.99 April 20-21; $2.99 April 22-24
From Wallflower…

Newlywed Tori Lewis wants nothing more than a quiet life with her hunky new husband. She doesn’t expect to walk into a robbery right after her honeymoon. But even more shocking is her discovery that she stopped the gunman with a super power! How did that happen?

Undercover superhero Joe Clarke and his team are investigating a string of missing children. When the father of a lost boy turns up dead, the team must decide if the death is related to the disappearances – or to the super villain group, The Nine.

…To Super Power!

Meanwhile, Tori decides to try out this superhero thing. She needs a mentor, so she asks Superhero X to help, the only superhero she’s ever met – and the only one she’s ever kissed. As they work together, Tori worries that the superhero is getting too familiar. How can she be attracted to one man when she’s wildly in love with another?

Will she have to choose between her husband and her destiny? No one warned her that love would be so complicated!

Get 72 Free Books Today!

Firsts Free for All promo

This is an exciting promotion and I get to be a part of it! There are 72 (!) book series in this list, and the first book in every series is FREE this weekend! When you sign up, you see all 72 free books and you can download them directly from Amazon.com. (They may or may not be available on Amazon’s sites in other countries.)

Then on Monday, you’ll get an email telling you about the other books in each series. Many of those will also be on sale Monday. Yay!

For instance, in my superhero urban fantasy series, Adventures of Lewis and Clarke, the first story in the chronology is the short story where they meet, “Superhero in Disguise.” It’s permanently free everywhere. The second book is the story of how they got married, A Very Merry Superhero Wedding. It’s normally $2.99, but Monday through Wednesday it will be just 99c.

Then Unexpected Superhero, the official book one in the series (I wrote the two prequels because readers asked for them 🙂 ), which is normally $3.99, will be on a Kindle Countdown Deal for a week. That means that Monday and Tuesday, it will be 99c, then it will be $1.99 for two days, then $2.99 through the following Monday, April 25, 2016.

So if you picked up all three books in the series on Monday or Tuesday, it would only cost you $1.98. Sweet deal, eh? 😀

And mine is just one of the 72 series where you’ll find great deals! I hope you find heaps of wonderful books to read. Remember, some of these books will only be free through Sunday so act now!

Oh! I nearly forgot to tell you – since the superhero series is on sale, I decided to put my romantic comedy, Little Miss Lovesick, on special, too. It’s FREE Monday and Tuesday, April 18 and 19, 2016. I hope you check it out!

Free Ebook of A Very Merry Superhero Wedding

Seems like almost every day I learn something new about how to please my readers and encourage new readers to give my books a try. And each new thing requires me to learn about ten other things to make that one thing work. Luckily, I kind of like learning new things!

Superhero in Disguise by Kitty Bucholtz, in the Adventures of Lewis and Clarke seriesSo over the last few days I’ve been creating a system where you can get the first two books of my superhero urban fantasy series, Adventures of Lewis and Clarke, absolutely free! All you have to do is join my email newsletter list.

In chronological reading order, “Superhero in Disguise” is first, and it’s free everywhere you buy ebooks. You can download it right now (if you haven’t already) from your favorite ebook store and it will load right onto your ereader.

The second book, A Very Merry Superhero Wedding, sells for $2.99. But if you subscribe to my newsletter, you will get access to the ebook for free as soon as you sign up. Kind of great, right?

A Very Merry Superhero Wedding book cover by Kitty BucholtzAlready a subscriber? You received an email last night with all the information on downloading both books. Already purchased A Very Merry Superhero Wedding? Let me know and I’ll make sure you get the next short story for free. My gift to you for being such a great fan! 😀

Speaking of which, I got a ton of writing done on the new story yesterday, and I hope to get it finished, formatted, and out to you in the next month or so! I think the final title is going to be My Bull-headed Superhero Valentine. I’m having so much fun with this story and I think you will, too.

So if you haven’t signed up yet, you can do so on the top right of this page. As soon as you do so, check your Inbox for an email from me with the links to the books. And enjoy!

If you’d like to do me a huge favor, I need more people who’ve read the books to post reviews on Amazon, Goodreads, and/or Barnes and Noble. More reviews help other readers to know whether these would be books they’d like. If you would take the time, I’d be so grateful!

Meanwhile, happy reading!

Goodreads Giveaway for New Superhero Book

Hi friends! I’m working hard to get out my new novella by Christmas. It’s called A Very Merry Superhero Wedding, and it’s about Tori and Joe’s Christmas Eve wedding – amidst a Christmastime crime spree. (Like any Christmas, right?)

While it’s part of the Adventures of Lewis and Clarke series, it’s not book two. If you’re familiar with Unexpected Superhero, it starts with Tori finding out that she has a super power when she returns from her honeymoon. Much as I want to keep the books focused on urban fantasy, I like playing with the fun romances among the characters, so I’m writing novellas and short stories to sprinkle throughout the series that are more like superhero romantic comedies.

The first short story was “Superhero in Disguise” about Tori and Joe’s fun romantic meeting on Halloween night. A Very Merry Superhero Wedding picks up a week before they get married on Christmas Eve. And here’s the cool part – you can win a free copy!

I’ve created a Goodreads Giveaway for readers in the United States (I’ll try to do an international one later) to have a chance to win five (5) copies of the paperback when it comes out at Christmas. You can click on the link below to sign up. Good luck!

Stop and See Me at Comikaze in Los Angeles This Weekend

COMIKAZE_POW_LOGO_colorThis weekend I’m excited to participate in my first Comikaze Expo, Stan Lee’s own comic book and pop culture convention. And I heard my table is even going to be near Stan Lee’s booth! STAN LEE, you guys!! Woo-hooo!!

If you can make it to the Los Angeles Convention Center this Friday, Saturday, and/or Sunday, you’ll find all kinds of fun. In addition to Stan Lee, you might see Elvira, John Barrowman, Kevin Smith, and so many more writers, artists, actors, producers, and more. Brian Michael Bendis, the writer of the graphic novel POWERS, about to become a TV show on the Playstation Network, sadly cannot make it. He was my personal favorite draw, but he just announced it on Twitter a couple hours ago.

Kids 12 and under are free, and there is going to be trick-or-treating in the convention hall on Friday for them. A safe place to bring your kids that will also be fun for you! Tickets are still available.

POWER bagsAnd please come by my table and say hi! I’m in space AA-1116, near the center of the convention floor, just off the red carpet. (I’m in the directory under my company name, Daydreamer Entertainment.) I’ll have my new book bags available for the first time, as well as the print copies of Unexpected Superhero and the prequel short story, “Superhero in Disguise.” We’ll even have cool new T-shirts available to order. 😀

I hope to see you this weekend! And Happy Halloween!

Accidents Happen – And Then You Pick Yourself Up and Walk Again

John on bike in gear 1st dayIt has been a long time – too long – since I’ve chatted with you all here. I’ve missed you!

If you didn’t know what happened, why I disappeared, it’s because my husband John was in a motorcycle accident five months ago. That completely changed my life. Suddenly, my world was about hospitals and surgeries, and then being an at-home caregiver. (Boy, do I have more respect for all you parents and caregivers out there!)

Even as John was healing, there was little he could do with a multi-broken leg. We recently moved out of our apartment and I had to do nearly all the packing. John helped by taping boxes from his chair, and packing up dishes while sitting in the kitchen. But that was a chore I hope to never have to repeat.

As you can imagine, with all my time taken up with taking care of John, and then driving him back and forth to work when he returned (we owned a stick-shift until a couple weeks ago, so John couldn’t drive), the amount of time I had to work felt miniscule. The second superhero book, Superhero in the Making, had to be put on hold (though it should be out later this year). I did meet my deadline for getting Unexpected Superhero out on audiobook in May, though. Very exciting! And I managed to get my booth up at WonderCon and Cherry Capital Comic Con. At least I was able to make some of my commitments.

John home from hospitalLife isn’t back to normal yet, but we’re getting there. I hope to stay in touch with you here at least a couple times a month. Please forgive me that my web site has some issues right now. I’ll fix them as soon as I can. But I figure that getting back to work writing books and stories for you to read is better! 🙂

I can’t wait to share some fun things with you over the next few weeks. Progress is being made, and there’s nothing more fun than sharing it with friends!

Meanwhile, enjoy these last days of summer. If you’re looking for something to read, remember that “Superhero in Disguise” is a free short story that starts the Adventures of Lewis and Clarke series. And if you joined Kindle Unlimited, you can read Unexpected Superhero for free.

Now – back to work with me! 🙂

My Books Are Free Thru Saturday – YAY!

Little Miss Lovesick_NEWSIZE_FINALHi friends! I’ve been so busy writing Superhero in the Making that I haven’t been able to keep up with my email. Turns out, Smashwords is having a big promotion – Read an Ebook Week. The very cool thing is that I could put one or more of my books on sale at 25%, 50%, or 75% off, or I could make them FREE!

Guess what I chose? 😀  I just made them free tonight! When you hit the BUY button, use the coupon code RW100 to get a 100% discount.

Super_ip09_FINALIf you or your friends haven’t read Little Miss Lovesick or Unexpected Superhero yet, now is the time to pick them up. You can download any file type you need – the MOBI file for Kindles, the EPUB for NOOKs and nearly every other reader, and even a PDF if that’s your preference. (You could even get one of each.)

Since Unexpected Superhero is book 1 in the Adventures of Lewis and Clarke series, and Superhero in the Making (book 2) comes out next month, you may find the second book more fun to read if you’ve read the first. 🙂

Superhero in Disguise by Kitty Bucholtz, in the Adventures of Lewis and Clarke seriesAnd “Superhero in Disguise” is the short story prequel to book one. It’s free all the time (’cause I like you). You can click on the book cover on the sidebar to the right to download it from Amazon, or you can download it here from Smashwords in any format you want.

Please tell your friends. The Smashwords sale ends Saturday at midnight!

More Superhero Books Coming!

PrintHi guys!

I’ve been thinking for a couple of months that I might make a change to my writing/publishing schedule. Due to some personal difficulties last year, I wasn’t able to finish and publish my romantic comedy, Love at the Fluff and Fold, on time. In order to have my next superhero book, Superhero in the Making, ready for WonderCon and Cherry Capital Comic Con this year, I had to put Fluff and Fold on the shelf temporarily.

Once Superhero in the Making is done, I’ll start working on the next book, but which one? The problem with working on the Strays of Loon Lake romantic comedy series at the same time I’m writing the Adventures of Lewis and Clarke superhero series is that it could mean as much as a year between books in a series, even if I’m writing two books a year. Waiting like that isn’t much fun for those of us who love to read. 🙂

So I took off my author hat and put on my publisher hat and made a decision that I think will make more readers happy. (That’s you! I work to write stories to please you!) I’m going to keep writing more books in the Adventures of Lewis and Clarke series for the next year or two. Yay!

Look for Superhero in the Making, book two, in mid-April. Then book three should be out by the end of October, and book four next April. I might get them written and out to you faster than that, but that’s the schedule for now.

If you haven’t read book one yet, Unexpected Superhero is now on sale for $2.99. And the prequel, Superhero in Disguise, is a free short story. Click the link to the right, or download it from your favorite ebook retailer.

I’ll show you the new covers as soon as they’re ready. Now I just have to think up titles for the next books! Any ideas? I’m all ears. 😀

Superheroes and Halloween – Hurray!

Superhero in Disguise by Kitty Bucholtz, in the Adventures of Lewis and Clarke seriesIt’s out! My short story “Superhero in Disguise” is available for you to download and read NOW! I’d planned to have the big release tomorrow, but you can get it today and I couldn’t wait to tell you! LOL!

“Superhero in Disguise” is the updated short story that was originally published as “Hero in Disguise”‘ in the Romancing the Pages anthology last year. But between then and now, I finished book one in the Adventures of Lewis and Clarke series, Unexpected Superhero, and suddenly little things that were bothering me when I first wrote the short story began to make sense.

I’ve just finished a rewrite with a wonderful new editor, Sarah Dawson, and I think the short story rocks now! And because I wanted to give you a way to try out my superhero stories without a big investment of time or money, the short story is only about 25 pages or so – and it’s free! So now you have something fun to read for Halloween!

The story is available on Smashwords now, and you can download any format you need – mobi for Kindle, EPUB for Nook or Sony or Kobo, PDF to read on your computer, and more. It will also become available over the next week on Apple, Barnes & Noble, Kobo, Sony, etc. It’s on Amazon for 99 cents, but I hope they price match soon so everyone can get it for free. I love free books and short stories, and I figured you’d love another one, too!

Happy Reading! 😀
