What is it that makes ideas flow? And what makes them flow fast and wild? I'd love to study this and learn more about what's going on in our heads (I think neuroscience is fascinating!), but no more school for me for a little while. I haven't even walked in the graduation ceremony yet from this latest degree! LOL!
Anyway, today was one of those brilliant beautiful days that make you grateful to be alive. I spent the first half of the day with one of my best friends, Mel, and her daughter and my mom. We went to the zoo on a gorgeous day after a week of rain and had a fabulous time. Then Mom and I came home and had tea out on the balcony. It was warmer out there in the sun than it was in my apartment and both of us started nodding off so we took a nap. Awesome relaxing day.
But wait, there's more! Then two of my other best friends, Rachel and Ruth, came over and we all had pizza and wine and Ruth's cake and my chocolate bread pudding. We watched Rachel's cousin win the day on Master Chef, too. Somewhere in there, creative energy was building like static when you rub your socks over carpet. Ideas started pouring out of all three of us and soon we were planning our new business venture, including a book!
I think we all wish we better understood how that creative flow works so we could attract more of it and harness it better. All I know is that when I'm laughing and talking and misunderstanding things with my friends (we have three accents between us!), things start happening in our brains that lead to ideas with amazing possibilities!
Do you know what I mean? How do you think it works? Have you figured out how to make it happen on call?
