It's about that time of year when I can't get enough Christmas movies and Christmas-themed books. Here are some fun picks from Netflix.
Fireplace for Your Home
John found this and turned it on one night to surprise me. It was sweet to cuddle in front of the fire and talk while listening to the digital popping of logs on the fire. And no cleanup!
Definitely 5 stars (Loved It, per the Netflix ratings system)
The Lamp
I wasn't so sure about this one at first. It's got a sad, slow start. But as I tried to keep working while I watched it, I kept getting more and more involved. Before long, I was completely engrossed in the story. By the end, I'd soaked a tissue. But it was great because it had a happy ending. It's not really a Christmas movie, but it's perfect for the season.

Desperately Seeking Santa
I turned this one on because I hoped I could enjoy a little Christmas fun and work on my laptop at the same time. There were times when I was rolling my eyes at the heroine of the story, who wasn't very likable for a while. But Christmas can be about finding your better self, and she did, so that redeemed her. 🙂 The hero was cute, if not predictable, but his wider circle of friends and family made him more interesting, too. In the end, I wasn't disappointed. A little bit of Christmas fun.
