RESULTS: Gained back 1 pound for a total loss of 28 pounds
Like yesterday's post about my running, this one about my dieting is just depressing. I used the “Ouch” image for both because I don't have an unhappy smiley face. This past week, I've barely even tried. I want to drown my troubles in sugar-filled cookies and chocolate-covered almonds and Wild Cherry Pepsi and margaritas. And yet – of course – when I try, it only makes me feel worse.
I'm ten pounds and ten weeks – two and a half months – behind my goal. The cause of my weight gain is the same as the result: a dispiritedness that I can't seem to shake.
The one thing that keeps me going is the fact that I promised to blog about my journey for the fifty weeks. I credit this with keeping me from gaining back ten pounds rather than three. And at this point, I'll take all the small favors I can find.
